Pretty Bokeh

So I got ahold of some lovely bokeh light textures from a fellow flickrite named Andy who sent me an email filled with a huge zip file for me to use. I was so stoked! But I haven't felt inspired to use them until today when I woke up with the spontaneous drive to take a self portrait with my favorite bathroom decoration I picked up from an antique store nearby. Tonight, I decided to dedicate a little time to using the textures on some of my older photos too I've taken throughout the duration of my 365. I have a lot of "bloopers" saved in a folder that I didn't have the heart to delete but most of them are ones I'd never want to post anywhere. But they're great to have around for creative urges like tonight!

When I was taking a shower I had a million and a half ideas running through my brain all at once. I'm feeling a huge desire to paint out comic scenes or comic art that are in my head. I've always loved comics and it seems to be a greater love the older I get. When I was a little kid, I used to draw comics to describe how I was feeling and what I wanted to get out in the open... but only to myself. Almost like racing through the tracks of my own mind to figure out what was wrong. Things like this completely inspire me:
