Teeter-Totter

So, I've been feeling the greater and greater feeling to uproot myself from my current abode and find a more permanent place for me and my hubby to grow. A place I can unleash all my creative desires onto and not have to worry about getting approval from a landlord, give Ben a big yard to run around and do crazy dog stuff in, have a full blown studio that I could do indoor shoots with, have a huge crafting table, and paint, decorate, and fill with all the things that I absolutely adore.

But the idea of a mortgage pains me. And the way the market is right now.... it swings in our favor to buy but what if it came to me wanting to sell? Would I ever even want to sell? Who knows what I'll want 5 years from now.... even a year from now.

But, the idea of it is kind of exciting and it's like a teeter-totter leaning more and more into the idea of taking a dive into it. It's always been a dream of mine to get a foreclosed/abandoned home of some kind that has amazing potential and rebuild and redesign it to fulfill all the creative desires in my heart. Learn new things. Experience new things. Work all day and all night on something that is so rewarding. Not to mention the monthly payment would end up being less than what we're paying on rent (for what we're budgeting). So that means more money could be saved for trips, equipment, and even fun stuff for the house. And we could afford to get Ben some new toys! :)

Yes, Ben is already on our side.

Well, here are more things that have inspired me and tid bits that I'd love to include in a future home of mine as well : ) The map wall in the below picture looks kind of similar to the one in our bedroom right now.....
