Make Your Mark

Love is like a river. We all have our own waters trekking to different places. Sometimes as we carve our marks across the history of humanity, we merge with creeks, streams, and even other rivers. Our waters are constantly changing. But we are never truly changed.

The people in our lives are much like these other waters in the sense that the people you meet influence you with new ideas, new hobbies, new philosophies... but it adds to the bigger picture of who you are. Relationships are formed from such mingling and the paths together are sometimes long and sometimes short. They can carve huge canyons into your heart. Trek through vast mountain ranges. Storm across heavy rapids. Or stream across slow, steady distances. When you meet new people, you have the chance to flow along new currents and carve a new path into the countryside to carry you to new places and experience new things. But sometimes, these currents can take you to dead ends. It's all about knowing in your heart where you are headed in life. East or west? North or south? Up or down? Left..right..sideways....upside down. What's waiting for you, just around the river bend?

Point is, let your river flow. Never be afraid to discover what lies ahead of you. Don't be afraid to open up to new people, live, and love others. I aim to be the change I wish to see in the world: someone that is completely happy being themselves inside and out no matter the given situation. The human experience is about taking chances and pushing to change without being changed. Go with the flow of time and embrace all that happens to you. Good and bad. Ultimatly the way I choose to handle any given situation makes me who I am.

P.S. Picture is from zee 2009 portfolio. Thought it fit the theme of the blog nicely :)

A waters path is the primary cause of erosion, and while a natural process, has it's roots in destruction. So destroying is a natural by-product. And when people cling to the landscape, they will obviously be disillusioned by the erosion that takes place.

A mother's love builds the landscape for their children. So it is with much anxiety when they have to watch it erode away with nothing they can do stop it.

Hope that is understood.
